Be My Valentine

Happy Sunday Friends,

5 more sleeps until Santa comes - I hope Santa brings me my much needed Laptop, this one is so slow and is getting worse by the day.

A break from Christmas Cards, my mojo did not want to work today, it was so difficult switching from Christmas card mode to something else.

I bought this cute little Devil Tilda from Magnolia's So Spooky Collection - when ordering this stamp I could see the potential for other uses, not just Halloween. A little Vintage Christmas

Happy Friday Friends,

Hope you have had a wonderful week and have a great weekend ahead. Thank goodness today has cooled down a little after yesterdays heat wave conditions. I would give anything to trade a little winter weather with our overseas friends.

Today's card is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.
The challenge is Merry Christmas

Magnolia Down Under Store, Boss Lady Kellie came up with the idea for us DT's to do a Christmas Card swap, we all thought it was a wonderful idea. I have been madly making Christmas cards for my DT Sisters, loving every minute, but very nervous. It is much easier to make a nice card & send to a non card maker and feel very happy with the outcome. But making a card for card makers is scary. This is one of the cards I made, I hope they like it.

Only 7 more sleeps until Christmas
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas & a safe Happy New Year

Merry Christmas - Sweet Noel

Happy Wednesday Friends,

I have entered this card at Just Magnolia - It's Christmas
& it can be anything Christmassy

Hope you are having a wonderful week so far and enjoying your Christmas preparations. I can't believe only 9 more sleeps to Christmas and I am still making Christmas cards, I'm too fussy.

For this card I was inspired by a very talented stamper, her name is Monie, see her card here. I love how she combined these 2 stamps. I am inspired by all of Monie's beautiful work.

I made this card for a friend using my new Magnolia stamps - Sparkling Tilda & Noel from the new Christmas collection, So Jolly Under the Mistletoe.  Tilda was stamped first, then masked before stamping Noel, coloured with copics, added lots of stickles. Papers - Magnolia & Websters Pages - Home for the Holidays & Winter's Wings, not much needs adding to these beautiful papers. Kaisercraft gems for berries, gold bow and some gorgeous flowers sprayed with glimmer mist. Spellbinder Nesties - labels. This is the first tradional coloured Christmas card I've made this year, so unusual for me, I love red so much. Not a lot of colouring with this one, but with the gorgeous papers, flowers & Easel card, I think it works quite nicely.

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays.

Birdhouse Christmas Card

Hello Friends,

Challenge entered - Magnolia-licious
Cheryl Rowley picked the challenge this month  - to create cards that are anything BUT a square or rectangle.  So that means any other shaped card will work for this challenge!! Hope this qualifies!!!

Another quick post today, I made this Birdhouse Christmas card for my Parents, they live on a property backing on to a 100 hectare Reserve with lots of wildlife. Dad loves birds and likes spotting the different types of birds. He always has handy his bird book and binoculars.  I wanted to make something a little different for them this year and when the wonderful Magnolia Ink Magazine was released with the tutorial and pattern to make this little beauty I had to give it a go. Hope they like it.

Party Tilda

Happy Tuesday Friends,

I love Christmas even though it is a busy time of the year. I love looking through  the catalogues to find the perfect gift, love the shopping (I finished my shopping early Nov to miss the crowds) & catching up with friends & family.

I thought it would be fun to make an Invitation with all the Christmas Parties this month.

Party Tilda is from Magnolia's So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection, she could be used for any occasion & some delicious Magnolia papers. I have coloured her with my Copics & added the embellies.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you and your families.
Wishing you a safe, healthy and crafty New Year.

Christmas - Shadow Box

Happy Weekend Lovelies,

Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 28 - Bedazzled

I have also entered this into the following Challenges
Stamp Something - Glitzy Somethings
Just Magnolia - A card for someone special

you can see the sparkle by clicking on the photo
Bedazzled - sparkly glittery goodness (a girls best friend) - You can use stickles, glitter, gems, rhinestones, dazzling diamonds, whatever is bright & sparkly (easy for me, sometimes I go a little overboard with the bling, but my motto is "A girl can never have too many diamonds or too much bling, I could go on with Chocolate, shoes, bags etc)

This fortnight is sponsored by Magnolia Down Under Store with this Chirstmas cutie - wish I could win this one, she is adorable & could be used not just for Christmas but also Birthday's etc.

I know I have been a bad blogger over the past month with health issues and new puppy, but hopefully now I can resume as per normal. Wow, 2 posts within a few days, woohoo for me.

Anyways, I had to try my hand at these amazing Shadow Box cards, I was over drooling at Suzanne Dean's wonderful blog Scrap Bitz & spotted a wonderful Shadow Box and had to try it out. Suzanne has listed a link to the tutorial here and it is by a  Splitcoast Stamper, Dawn Griffith. If you haven't stopped by Suzanne's blog it is a must see & full of jaw dropping amazing wonderful creations, but also lots of tutorials for Copic colouring, Flowersoft, Easel cards and many more. Thanks Suzanne.

I resized my Shadow Box to 6 x 8 (giving me a 6x6 card front) - I used my Nestie Labels to cut the window - stamped the Christmas tree in the background with lots of stardust stickles. Papers by MME, coloured my images with Copics, added an organza bow made with my bow easy, a star & snowflake from my stash and finished.

I have used 4 Magnolia stamps this time - Christmas Tree (Christmas 2008 Collection) Jolly Tilda, Christmas Presents & Merry Christmas - all from the So Jolly Under the Mistletoe New Christmas Collection.

Hope you will stop by & see what the other Design Team Members have created for you they are all amazing! Thanks for joining this wonderful challenge, I can't wait to see what you come up with & hope to see you join us again next challenge.

Don't forgot if you loved the first issue of Magnolia Ink Magazine - the FAIRY TALE Issue from Magnolia, Issue 2 packed full of inspiration, ideas and tutorials coming soon.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays to you and your families.
Wishing you a safe, healthy and crafty New Year.

I know why they call it the silly season, I'm sure everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas.  I've been very busy over the last couple of weeks, madly making Christmas projects, decorating the house & Christmas Tree and chasing Ruby our new puppy around the house trying to toilet/house train her. I should rename her Glitter, by the end of the day she is covered in it LOL.

Yes, another Easel Card, I know, but I love them. I have used 3 Magnolia Stamps on this card all from Magnolia Down Under Store. Also this yummy paper is also from Magnolia. These stamps are adorable & are from the new Magnolia Christmas Collection So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe. This card is super sparkly, shame it does not show in this photo.

It's looking a lot like Christmas

Happy Sunday Everyone,

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #27 - Something for Christmas

Wow, another scorcher today, I'll be glad when this heat wave is over, I don't like the hot weather and can't wait for it to cool down a little.

I am sorry,  I have not posted much again this week, I've spent most of this week in hospital, I went in for some tests on Tuesday, allowed home then readmitted due to complications.

Secondly, we have a new  9 week old puppy, a female West Highland White Terrier, called Ruby. I hope to catch up with some blog hopping to see what you creative people have been up to over the last few weeks. (my fellow DT member Debbie made me laugh, she emailed letting me know it sounded like my complications with my hospital visits produced a puppy - ROFLOL!!!, so I have changed the wording a little. heheheheh, thanks Debbie)

The challenge for Magnolia Down Under is Something Christmas and is sponsored by Kellie of Magnolia Down Under,  the prize is a fabulous Magnolia stamp - Sitting Tilda with Candy the So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Christmas 2009 Collection.

I love Christmas, my favourite time of year. For this challenge I decided to make a Bon Bon/Christmas Cracker and a gift bag. I was lucky enough to be visiting Rachel Jakes blog and discovered her wonderful Hand Made Cracker tutorial & the gift bag was cut with my Cricut Expression Die Cutting machine. Don't worry if you don't have a Cricut, you can still decorate a pre-bought gift bag.

Magnolia Stamps - Tilda with Candy Cane & Tilda with Heart Ornament both from Christmas 2008 Collection. DP - My Minds Eye, The Merry Days of Christmas Collection, Copic Markers, Silk Ribbon - Maya Rd, Spellbinder - Nesties, Gift Bag & Holly - Cricut Plantin Schookbook, Sentiment Stamp & Poinsettia Flower - Hero Arts, Diamond Stickles, Red Rhinestones - Kaisercraft.

Hope you will stop by & see what the other Design Team Members have created for you! Thanks for joining this wonderful challenge, I can't wait to see what you come up with & hope to see you join us again next challenge.

Oops - I forgot your Birthday

Happy Weekend to all my Crafting Friends,

Magnolia Down Under Challenge  #26 - SKETCH

I have also incorporated this into the Monthly Challenge at
Just Magnolia  - Distresssing

I am sorry I haven't made anything to share with you this week or stopped by your blogs, I haven't been well and hope to catch up on all your wonderful creations over the next week or so.

I do have some wonderful news, Kellie from Magnolia Down Under has asked me to become a fulltime member of both of her DT's for the Challenge and Store blogs. Woohoo, thanks Kellie for giving me this wonderful opportunity. Kellie's DT girls have so much talent and are just beautiful amazing people   I 'm  feel very honoured to be part of these teams.

This Sketch is by the amazing Shell Barnard and is sponsored by the one & only Kellie of Magnolia Down Under for a $10.00 gift voucher in her wonderful new store.

This Magnolia stamp is Oops Tilda from my favourite Yummy for your Tummy Collection coloured with Copic markers. I stamped her a few times to give her some dimension with foam tape & silicone, a little hard to see in the photo. Cherry paper is by Doodlebugs, border & flower punches by Martha Stewart and Oops and cherry cut with Cricut and finished with some machine stitching & distressing.

Hope you will stop by & see what the other Design Team Members have created for you! Thanks for joining this wonderful challenge, I can't wait to see what you come up with & hope to see you join us again next challenge.

60's Tilda

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week and finding some time to fit in some craft time. I am just loving the Yummy for Your Tummy Collection and find colouring these adorable Magnolia Stamps so relaxing.

This was a quick card, no layers, just cut out and popped up with dimensionals. Hoping this qualifies as a CAS card, as I was thinking these 2 Magnolia stamps don't need any extra embellies, they are sweet enough by themselves. I have entered it in the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop CAS Challenge.

This card is dedicated to Diana Crick from Magnolia-licious Store. I was lucky enough to win these delicious stamps  for the September Challenge over at Magnolia-licious Highlites - Anything but a Card. Thank you so much for your genorisity Diana.

I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I needed to hide my RED Copics, well it succeeded for a little while.

The computer does not display the true colours very well, but they are red, cream & chocolate.

I coloured 60's Tilda & Tin Boxes with my Copics both from Yummy for Your Tummy Collection, airbrushed the background. Added a little sparkle to Tilda's spots with Diamond Stickles and some Diamond Glaze to the glass jar. Used my favourite Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Papers. Lacy Border is from Martha Stewart double dot border punch. Cut the card with my Cricut, love the shaped cards. Ribbon from stash.
