Happy Spring at MDUC

Happy Sunday Stampers,

It is time for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge and this week the challenge is to make a seasonal themed card.

I have been itching to ink up this gorgeous girl (Tulip Tilda) from Magnolia's new Wedding Collection and as you can see she would be perfect for so many occasions. I have teamed her up with the tulip (Two Tulpis) from Magnolia's Easter Hoppy Easter Collection 2010 , a perfect match.

I have coloured the images with Copics (V000, V12,15,17 & B000 - B04) cut them out and popped them up for some dimension, airbrushed the background, added lots of Star Dust stickle sparkle, the papers are from Kaisercraft (Utopia Collection), loving these gorgeous colours, and then stamped the inside with more of the tulips and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.
Hope you will join us this week.

For your Wedding

It's time for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge
And welcome back for challenge #53. Our challenge this week is.....
IN THE NEWS - incorporate a bit of newspaper somewhere on your card.

If you are wondering where my news print paper is, it is poking out from under the big white flower. I struggled a little with this challenge, I've seen some amazing creations using newsprint and the other Design Team members have come up with some amazing examples to inspire you, I hope you will join us this week and show us your wonderful creations.

I've been stuck in Wedding mode now for a while, I love the beautiful Wedding Collection Magnolia recently introduced and after making my Design Team cards to send to Magnolia Sweden,  I just can't stop. I don't know anyone getting married, but at least I will have a couple of cards ready just in case.

This is Magnolia's Bride & Groom, I've coloured them with Copic Markers. I was lucky enough to receive these beautiful doilies, pearls flourishes and tassle trim in my Tickled Pink Stamps DT Kit, Kellie has these available in her store along with some fabulous charms and perfect for Wedding/Anniversary themed creations. The matching gift box was made using my cricut expression die cutting machine, with tags bags & boxes cartridge, I need to buy some more of Kellies gorgeous tassle trim to add to the edges of my gift box. Both my card and gift box was glimmered and glamoured with Glimmer Mist and Stickles.

Stamps: Magnolia - Bride & Groom, Sentiment - Hero Arts
Paper/Cardstock: K&CO, Newsprint - October Afternoon, Bazil
Gift Box cut with Cricut - Tags Bags Boxes - Matchbox
Embellishments: Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts, Star Dust Stickles by Ranger, Silk Ribbon - May Arts, Glimmer Mist - Iredescent Gold, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tea Dye
Pearl Flourish, tassel trim & doily available from Tickled Pink Stamps
Copic Markers - Creams E50-53, Greys W00-7- Skin E11, 00, 000, R20 - Hair E25, 29, 31

Bubbling Tilda makes a wish

Good Morning Stampers,

It has been a very cold few days here in Oz, I hope all my blogging friends in the warmer parts of the world are enjoying their summer.
It's time for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge
Our challenge this week is embossing, it can be dry or heat.

I have been wanting to ink up this adorable image for a while, Bubbling Tilda, I paper toled her, but again forgot to take a side view to show her dimension as it was so late when I finished. The background was stamped, coloured, then dry embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder, before adding the dimension.

Stamps: Magnolia - Bubbling Tilda, Sentiment - Hero Arts
Paper/Cardstock: Basic Grey - Kioshi, Bazzil CS
Card cut with Cricut - Wildcard cartridge, Embossing Folder - PC Cuttlebug Folder - Spots & Dots
Embellishments: Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts, Star Dust Stickles by Ranger,
Copic Markers - Violets V000, 12. 15, Blues B000, B01, B02 - Skin E11, 00, 000, R20 - Hair E25, 29, 31

I am working on the creations this week for the next Magnolia Ink, but will have something new soon to share with you. Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week and happy stamping.

hugs Jodie

Sunset Beach Wedding

Meet
Bride & Bridesmaid
Wedding Background
Flower Girl
from Magnolia's new Wedding Collection 2010
May your day be Special - Chasing Butterflies Collection 2009

On the front panel of my card I've stamped Bride and Bridesmaid and the Wedding Background. I made a Gate Fold Card, the tutorial is by the very talented Beate of Splitcoast Stampers.

I coloured Bride & Bridesmaid with Copic Markers and cut them out, I used some pop dots to raise them above the background for some dimension.

The Wedding Background I stamped twice, cutting out the markee/curtains, coloured them and attached them to the background again with pop dots giving the background a little more dimension, adding a 2nd layer.

The beach background (Wedding background) I coloured or I should say attempted to colour with Distress Inks for a softer look, I certainly need lots of practice.  The front panel ended up with 3 layers (I forgot to take a side view to show the dimension)

For the inside of my card I've used the adorable Flower Girl, and the sentiment is also from Magnolia, May your day be special - Chasing Butterflies Collection 2009.

and this is the back of my card

This is the last of my DT cards for the Wedding Collection and they are now on their way to Magnolia Sweden, I hope they like them.
