Happy Wishes

This was made for Just Magnolia Challenge 28 Martine's Sketch. My first entry with Just Magnolia and my very first sketch challenge. I've entered a few challenges recently, but not sketch challenges. This was harder than I thought, here's me thinking a sketch would be easy to follow, but my mojo went for a huge walk. What made it harder, I decided to challenge myself a little further and mix pattern papers, Basic Grey makes it easy bringing out little collections of beautiful papers, but I normally play it safe and use one pattern with coloured cs.

Tilda with Cowberry Muffin is one of the new stamps I just received as a prize for Magnolia-licious's World Card Making Day Challenge, the prize was to pick any 3 Magnolia stamps from Magnolia-licious Store. Thanks again to Suzanne Dean for hosting the event & for Diana Crick's generosity. I stamped Tilda out a couple of times  for dimension, coloured her with my Copics and airbrushed the Nestie Oval. I hand cut the oval mats, I find the Nestie Ovals are not big enough, even with the set of 4. Hopefully with the distressing you can't notice how crooked they are. Flowers from existing stash, spotted flower cut with MS punch to match DP.  Distressed the paper edges. I tried for a bit of a shabby chic look to this card,  but I'm worried I ended up with a bit too shabby & not enough chic end result.

Another Easel Card

Happy Sunday Everyone,

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #25 - Distressed

I have incorporated this in the Magnolia-licious Highlites October Challenge - Easel Card

Hope you all join in the challenge, remember you don't have to use a Tilda or Edwin, as long as you use a Magnolia Stamp. This month the fantastic sponsor is Gabby from The Soap Dish with some Yummie Handmade Soap. You will want to stock up on this beautiful soap, makes the perfect Christmas gift.

This is my 2nd Easel Card and I am loving it. I will be making a lot more in the future. I decorate the inside of my cards, making an Easel card saves time & paper, now I only have to decorate one side. Template here & directions here. I resized my card to 6"x6". Thanks to Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge & Suzanne Dean.

My Niece is turning 21 in a few weeks and she is a really girly girl, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make a her a card with a shabby girly twist. I used Magnolia Tilda with Lilac's. Thought she was perfect for this paper I bought a few years ago fback when I was scrapbooking. I stamped her out 3 times and cut parts of her to add some dimension. I coloured her with my Copics, masked her, airbrushed the background a little, added some diamond stickles, diamond glaze & a little flower soft on the lilacs. I have a wonderful distressing kit I purchased a while back from Making Memories, I mainly use the distressing edger and sanding block, perfect for this challenge.

I just received my first delivery of flowers from Bizzy Bec's and they are the most beautiful flowers ever, thanks Bec.

MDU DT Challenge - Easel Card

Happy Thursday Everyone,

My first DT Challenge for Magnolia Down Under Store. I just received my DT Kit from Kellie, & it felt a little like Christmas, woohoo.

Kellie set each member of her DT a challenge - we were to use a specific image that Kellie nominated from the Yummy for Your Tummy Collection - I was asked to use the Delicious  Dot Muffin and Magnolia Designer Papers. I decided the Muffin would be a perfect seat for Tilda or Edwin for a Birthday card. I also featured it seperately with the sentiment, I wanted to show how easy it can be used on it's own also.

Sneak Peak at the the new Magnolia Christmas Collection. OMGosh, the stamps are adorable and the Christmas papers are stunning.

This is also my first Easel Card, template here & directions here. This card was resized to 6" square. (1 pc of cs at 6x12" & scored at 3" & 6", 1 pc cs at 6x6") Thanks to Suzanne Dean Head Designer of Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge.

Chef Tilda, Dot Muffin & Pattern Paper from Magnolia's Yummy for your Tummy Collection, coloured with Copic Markers, CS - American Crafts, Border Punch - Ek Success, Leaf Punch - Martha Stewart. Sentiment stamps - Hero Arts, Ribbon - Roses & pearls unknown.

Boo

Happy Monday Everyone,

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge # 29 -SPOOKtacular.
This week’s challenge is to create a SPOOKY card or project. I know this card is a little too cute to spook, but if you squint, the googlie eyes are a little spooky.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. My weekend was huge, it was my Parents 50th Wedding Anniversary, and our Nieces 21st. They were both on the same day, in different Towns, so DH went one way & I the other.

I was sent a few Halloween images to play with for the MDUC, and Tilda with Thistle was just too darn cute to sit in a drawer for 12 months without colour. I didn't have matching ribbon,  so out came my trusty Copic Airbrush, some white organza ribbon, magic, the ribbon is now beautiful shades of pumpkin. I love how it turned out. How cute is the pet frog, the googlie eyes are a little cross eyed.

Magnolia Pink Collection - National Breast Cancer Month

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Photo removed for publication.

October is Breast cancer month, where the world turns PINK to help raise awarness and funds for breast cancer.

PINK RIBBON DAY IS OCTOBER 26

Magnolia has made a collection of stamps called the
PINK Collection
&  for every stamp sold from the Pink Collection a portion is donated to Breast Cancer.

I made this card a few weeks ago and dedicate it to anyone that has been touched by this horrible disease. My love goes out to each & everyone of you, your family & friends.

Witching you a Happy Halloween

Happy Sunday Everyone,

As you know in Australia, we don't really celebrate Halloween, I had a  spooktacular time  making this card. This card is dedicated to all my cyber friends, that celebrate this Holiday.
Happy Halloween Friends, hope your celebrations are SPOOKTACULAR

I love all Magnolia stamps and these two are the cutest. I coloured my stamps with my much loved Copic Markers and did a little airbrushing behind the haunted house and added a little purple to my white cs to match my  other CS. This spooooookie Haunted House I purchased the cut file from SVG.cuts and cut it with my Cricut Expression Die Cutting Machine. I distressed the edges, exposing the white core, I normally sponge the edge as I don't like to see the white but this give me  an almost spider web effect. Computer generated the sentiment and done.

Magnolia Stamps - Tilda with Spider & Tilda with Pumpkin from Halloween & Autumn 2008 Collection
Coloured with Copics Markers & Airbrushed
Sentiment Computer generated
Design Paper - Kaisercraft, CS American Crafts, Ribbon & Stickles

Thanks for looking

Tilda with Balloons or is it Buttons

This card was made for Magnolia Down Under Challenge # 23  Buttons

I wanted to use BUTTONS as my feature, & what better way than with Balloons. I cut Tilda’s Thumb to hold the threads for the balloon strings. Cut the card shape out with my Cricut Expression and embossed the background. Machine stitched the design paper to give a little texture. Tilda was cut twice, and popped up for dimension, masking the existing balloons.

A huge thank you to Sharon Caudle (Gramma's House of Cards) & Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group. Sharon was kind enough to share this card shape. Sharon designed this with Design Studio for the Cricut Die Cutting Machine. Sharon’s work is amazing, stop by her blog and see for yourself and say hi!!
