TOMIC 44 - Some Bunny Loves You

Happy Easter Everyone,

I am taking time out this long weekend to catch up with family & friends. I know I'll be eating way too much chocolate, I've been taste testing them for days, I'd hate to pass on any that were not perfect to my family & friends bahahahahaha.
I hope whatever you have planned, you all have a wonderful Easter.

It's time for another TOMIC Challenge
The Official Magnolia Inspirations Challenge (TOMIC)

Challenge 44 - Bunny + sketch by Liza + inspiration picture
We want you to use a bunny somewhere on your card (can be a charm, printed paper, stamp, die, etc...), get inspired by this easter picture and use the marvellous sketch by Liza. We also want you to get inspired by the picture (colors, theme, etc...):

I hope you will join us this week, I can't wait to see what you come up with.

I have coloured up one of my favourite Easter images, she is from an older collection, I just couldn't resist, she is perfect for baby cards & gifts too.

Happy Easter from Tilda with flowing hair

Hello Lovelies,

Thank you so much for all your wonderful emails, thoughts & prayers. Mum will be out of hospital soon thank goodness, but still a long way to go. I was able to take a couple of my stamps to the hospital to colour and found it very theraputic.

All stamps and paper by Magnolia - this is Tilda with Flowing Hair & Open Gate both from new Hoppy Easter Collection, what I love the most about these gorgeous stamps, they can be used for so many other occasions, not just Easter. Text stamp is from their Easter Collection 2009.

Tilda has been cut out and raised with pop dots for dimension, coloured with Copics, the gate is covered with crackle paint, lots of Star Dust stickles, machine stitching, flowers, lace, ribbon and butterfly from own supplies.

Thanks for visiting and again thank you for your good wishes, I hope to get around to visit all your amazing creations soon.

My 1st DT Card

Hello Everyone,

I am so excited, I received my 1st DT Kit from Magnolia this week. Lots of adorable stamps from the new Hoppy Easter Collection

I wanted to make something a little bit special, being my very first DT card and all, I decided on a Shadow Box Card (here is a tutorial). I have used Chicken Tilda, isn't she just the cutest, from the new Collection, available very soon, Happy Easter Sentiment Stamp - Easter Collection 2009 and Butterfly background from Chasing Butterflies Collection. Coloured with Copics, DP & CS from Magnolia DT Kit. Lacy border punch from Martha Stewart.

Happy Easter - Easel Card

Hello Everyone,

It's time for another Magnolia Down Under Challenge - this week we were to make an Easel Card. My very favourite style of card and I am sure you can see how addictive they are, not just by looking at my blog, but looking around blogland, they are hugely popular and come in all shapes and sizes. I hope you'll join us this week and if you've not made one before, they come with a warning "very addictive". I have included some directions below, hope they are not too confusing, please don't hesitate to contact me if you need further info. If you need some inspiration, stop by Magnolia Down Under Challenge Blog to see some amazing cards my fellow DT's came up with.

I used Jay Jay's Sketch from the Challenge this week at Just Magnolia, I rotated the sketch but otherwise stuck to it without braking the rules . Wonderful sketch Jay Jay, I can see I will use this sketch many times.

Card Recipe
Easel Card closed size 15cm x 15cm (6" x6")
Magnolia Stamps -Tilda Hugging Bunny,  Happy Easter (Squiggly) from Easter Collection 2009, Loving Wishes - Winter Stamp Kit/Raising the Ceiling.
Paper - Pale Blue Spots by Bella - Ever After Collection, Pale Pink peeking out from under ribbon Kaisercraft - Hopscotch & the CS is by American Crafts.
Colouring - Copic Markers
Tools - Spellbinders - Rectangles, Scallops & Fancy Labels, Scor Pal, Martha Stewart Border
Other - Ribbon, Flowers, Stickles - Star Dust. Machine Stitching - straight & zig zag.

My finished card size is 15cm square (6")
supplies needed:
Cardstock 30cm x 15cm (12"x6")
Cardstock -15cm x 15cm (6"x6")
score tool/scor pal
Scor Tape/Red Tape or strong adhesive

Easel Card 15cm square cut 30cm x15cm piece of cardstock - score at 15cm & 7.5cm (6" & 3") vertically - valley fold both score lines.

Embellish card front - attach to card base, I find it easier to close the card, sticking the front to the closed card, it's easier to line up.  To hold the card in place you need to add a button, pop dot or some sort of dimension for the card to catch on to keep it from closing.

To resize all you need to remember is score your card in half and then in half again.
Example of sizes: 12.5cm (5") square
Cardstock 25cm (10") x 12.5cm (5") - score at 12.5 (5") & 6.25cm (2.5")

Have a wonderful week, thanks for stopping by & happy stamping.
Hugs Jodie

Special Monthly Challenge Tutorial by Lena Katrine -
here is the Tutorial
I really enjoyed making this wonderful project, thanks Lena.

& thanks to Kellie, I have entered this in the Challenge at
Cute Card Thursday - Spots & Dots

Kellie has donated the fabulous prize this week, & it happens to be my favourite stamp
Oops from the Yummy for your Tummy Collection, beautiful flowers, lace & some fabulous Magnolia paper.

I am so sorry the photo is such poor quality, I am having a few problems with my camera and had to borrow my neighbours. I am hoping to take a few more photos with some close ups over the next few days.

I sent my DH off to buy some Easter goodies for my photo shoot, he returned with bag fulls, not knowing what I wanted & of course I had to taste test them all to see what would be best for the photo LOL.

I bought this sweet image a while ago and have been itching to ink her up, called Bunny Tilda - Spring Summer 2008 and the sentiment is from Magnolia also - Squiggley Happy Easter  - Easter Collection 2009. I stamped the image twice to give it some extra dimension around her tummy (probably too much chocolate LOL), coloured with copics. I added some machine stitching. Patterned Paper, gray spot - October Afternoon, border punch - EK success, Star Dust Stickles, Diamonte swirls - Prima, CS, ribbon & flowers from stash.

Have a wonderful week & remember you only have a week to enter, happy crafting.
