A Little Yummy for your Tummy

Hello Lovelies, a happy Sunday to you all,

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #31
Sketch Challange with a twist - A girly card with something orange.

We have a new Sponsor this week - "The Cutting Cafe"
They offer a huge range of affordable printable stamps and cutting templates - stop by & check them out.

As you can see I probably broke the rules a few times. I mirror reversed the sketch and my card could have been a lot more girly, but I have spent the last few days in bed suffering from bad headaches, something I don't normally suffer from, I crawled out of bed to make this card, totally not happy with it, I should not have left my DT card so late, but sometimes the mojo just isn't flowing when it should. I will probably re-do this card when I am feeling better. Anyways enough about me.

My stamps & delicious papers are all from Magnolia's Yummy for your Tummy Collection, "Peachy Tilda", sentiment stamp of the same name and the gorgeous peach & spot papers. Coloured with Copics, my favourite MS border punch and silk ribbon, flowers & half pearls.

By now I am sure you would have read our exciting news, Magnolia Down Under Challenges are changing to WEEKLY CHALLENGES, woo hoo, starting next week. You now get to play more often and win more often. I hope you will join us.

Kick up Your Heels

Happy Weekend to my Crafting Friends,

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, today is a very short post as I am running a little behind with some DT work, I have spent yesterday in bed with a very bad headache. Never mind I am up & about today. I made this a week or so back and forgot about it.

This image is from Magnolia's Winter Kit 2009 and can now be purchsed individually from the latest  colletion - Raising the Ceiling - this sweet Tilda's name is Charleston Tilda, I think she is perfect for so many occasions all dressed up in heels. I had intended to use her for my New Year's cards, but I was away over the holidays. Coloured with Copics and doused her shoes & frill on her party dress with some glittery goodness. The gorgeous papers are Basic Grey's Sugar Rush, I was so tempted to buy a full book of these beautiful papers but I find I only use a couple of sheets of my favourites and then I am left with drawers full of unused papers, so I just bought a few sheets, how good am I hehehe. Sentiment is computer generated and Hero Arts and flowers & ribbon from stash.

Have a wonderful weekend, I will be back tomorrow with my Magnolia Down Under Challenge DT project.

Thinking of You - Heartbreaker Edwin

Hello Everyone,

I hope you have had a wonderful start to the week, yesterday was Australia Day, we had friends over to help celebrate with a BBQ and a swim. The weather has been so strange this week, storms, heat wave conditions and then the next day it is cool. Anyways, enough of my waffle.

This stamp is from the new Magnolia Raising the Ceiling Collection, Heartbreaker Edwin, such a perfect name for this adorable stamp and a new favourite for me, so many favourites.

This was made for the Just Magnolia Challenge - Jay Jay's Sketch.
I really enjoyed following this sketch, thanks Jay Jay. If you are looking for inspiration, visit Just Magnolia's talented DT's, their creations are amazing.

I have also entered this in the following challenges:
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Challenge 88 Freestyle
Everybody Art Challenge - Challenge 75 - Brown Blue & White
I stamped Heartbreaker Edwin twice for dimension. Coloured with Copic markers, the gorgeous papers are from my Christmas stash, MME The Merry Days of Christmas and the MS border is my new favourite, not new to MS collectors, but new to me. I distressed the edges, then a little sewing to give it that handmade with love look and inked the oval with Tea Dye Distress ink, the sentiment is from Hero Arts, I added some tiny heart punches and half pearls by Kaisercraft , added  the beautiful flowers and silk ribbon. (The colour of the ribbon did not photograph the true colour it is a better match in real life, oh well)

Thank you for your comments they brighten my day. Thank you to each & everyone of you. Have a wonderful week.

Happy Australia Day

Happy Weekend Everyone & Happy Australia Day to my fellow Aussies.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. For some of us it is a long weekend,  Australia Day falls on Tuesday 26th January, that day being a public holiday, most are taking an extra day on Monday and making a 4 day weekend. Lots of BBQ's and picnics outdoors with our wonderful summer weather.

I wanted to make a card to celebrate our special day. We are so blessed with such a beautiful country and we have so much to be thankful for.

A few years ago, I had some Australian flags on toothpicks for Australia Day celebrations, but do you think I could find them. Oh well, I made this one, I downloaded a small flag and added some wire. When making a Christmas card with this sweet Tilda I pictured her holding this flag,  Tilda with Star Ornament- Winter Christmas 2007 Collection, perfect to fly our flag. I added the star to her blouse to dress her up a little and added some stickles. I coloured her with Copics, added my usual silk bow, gorgeous flowers, and punched out a few stars for some added glamour.  Celebrate with Style Sentiment - Hero Arts, other sentiments - Hero Arts alphabet stamps, Cuttlebug stars embossing folder. Papers from stash - unknown.

Kellie gave all the MDU DT's this fabulous personalised stamp for Christmas gifts, I had admired them on  some of the Magnolia DT's cards  but was not game to ask where they came from.

Wherever you are, near or far, wishing you a magical weekend.

Thanks a Bunch - Charmer Edwin

Happy Friday Everyone,

Thanks a Bunch Charmer Edwin

This card was made for the Challenge over at Just Magnolia
Thank You

If you are looking for inspiration, visit Just Magnolia's talented DT's, their creations are amazing.

Sorry about the photo quality of late, I have a new laptop and need to recalibrate the monitor.

Wow, I only just scraped this in time, I'm not sure where the time went this week. Since returning from holidays trying to catch up on all my emails and visiting as many blogs as I could to see everyones amazing creations. I nearly missed out on this fabulous challenge. I was away & missed last weeks pleating challenge,  I will definately try this out on a future card, thanks to the talented Mina's wonderful tutorial, anywho enough of my waffle.

I thought it was time for a shaped card, I dusted off my beloved Cricut and cut this doily shaped card from my Wild Card Cartridge. One of my all time favourite shaped cards in my favourite colour, RED. I have coloured Magnolia's Charmer Edwin with Copics, added flowers and silk ribbon. Paper is from Kaisercraft and the senitment is from Hero Arts.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Pretty in Pink - Oops I forgot

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Magnolia-licious Pretty in Pink Blog Hop
Magnolia-licious Highlites Design Team have inspired me once again. They have put on a wonderful Pretty in Pink display of amazing creations. Thanks Ladies, you are all so talented and it was so wonderful to see Lady Diana join in and see her amazing creation. I had so much fun and thanks for the inspiration.

I decided to join in and this is my entry Magnolia-licious Highlites Pretty in Pink Blog hop challenge.

Another Easel card you say, I know you are probably sick of seeing them, I started to think maybe I should stop making so many, but than I thought it is no different to making regualar square cards, I always decorate the inside of my card, but not always straight away and when I need to send it, I can't find the same dp I used, with Easel cards they are finished at the same time as the front and with only one surface to cover.

I made this card for someone special, hope she likes it. I have used one of my very favourite Tilda's, Oops from Magnolia's Yummy for your Tummy Collection and the bow with hearts from the new Winter Stamp kit, I know I will use this one a lot. I've used copics, cut the word Oops using my Cricut, smothered  in glittery goodness. Sentiment is from Inkadinkadoo. EK success punch for the border (one of my faves),  ribbon & flowers from stash. DP Anna Griffin. Spellbinders Tag. I made the matching gift bag with my much loved & used Spellbinders label and again EK punch, filled it was some gorgeous flowers.

Valentine's Day - Loving Wishes

Hello Lovlies,

I'mmmmmmmm back, we came home early, I was a little home sick. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Happy New Year to you all.

I am hoping to get around to visit all your wonderful creations soon & catch up on all the goss as I had limited access over the Christmas/New Year period via my iPhone, great for email but a little slow for blog hopping.

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to  stop buying DP, I bought 6 books of Christmas DP plus lots of loose sheets and I used a couple of sheets from one or two, but mostly they were untouched.
