Thank you for being my Rainbow

Hello Everyone,

Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend. I've made a quick project this weekend, a tag from the Tim Holtz Alterations collection using some of the my Magnolia stamps from the Sweet Rainbow Collection. You could use this for a bookmark without the bulky flowers but I made it for a friend to send to brighten their day. I love love love the The Rainbow with Clouds stamp and text they always make me smile everytime I use them. The text reads

"Thank you for being my Rainbow on a Cloudy Day".

I've used Copics and lots of sparkly stickles

(The photos came out a little brighter than they are IRL, the winter days are not my favourite for photographing my projects. )

TOMIC Challenge 12 - Magnolia Ink Birthday

Hello Magnolia Lovers,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGNOLIA INK MAGAZINE

Hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Today is the start of a new challenge over at TOMIC. This week we have a very special celebration, we are celebrating the birthday of Magnolia Ink Magazine. The theme of Challenge 12 - Recycling as Magnolia use recycled paper for the magazine.

There will be a very special prize from Magnolia to celebrate. Hope you will join us & don't forget to stop by the other Design Team members to see all their amazing creations.

I used a breakfast cereal box, the cardboard weight is perfect for my tissue box. I love the finished result and I will definately recyle more often.

The flowers are from both Magnolia & Wild Orchid Crafts.

For my tissue box I used a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers here.

My Cricut came in very handy to cut out my tissue box. I find working with imperial fractions a bit tricky, so I converted the fractions to decimal and loaded the dimensions, cutting them with a program called SCAL, making it so much easier.

TOMIC Challenge 10 - Masking

Happy Monday Everyone,

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Thanks for dropping by. There's another challenge on over on  TOMIC  Wow, Challenge 10 already, where has the time gone - This week we are asking for MASKING. I hope you will join in, if you need some help, Camilla has made a step by step tutorial for you and don't forget Magnolia Sweden will send a lucky Maggie lover a surprise package selected by random.

 I know I need lots of practice, I normally cut my images out then pop them up on foam tape for dimension. I inked up some old favourites from the Bon Voyage Collection. I love to shop as most girls do, so I couldn't resist these adorable stamps.

Rocking Tilda

Happy Wednesday Friends,

I'm back with my promised card to share with you. This is Rocking Tilda from Magnolia's Sweet Rainbow Collection.  I remember when I was little, I had a sparkly pink hoola hoop just like it, but I was a bit unco and spent most of my time trying to keep it from falling to the ground.

 The gorgeous papers are from the same collection, I love the pink gingham paper, it will be another favourite. The rainbow paper has such pretty colours and reminds me of gelato icecream, yum. I also love love love this sweet "Wishing You" text, it will perfect for so many occasions and the  fabulous Doohickey Dies I've used are Swirly Butterfly & Heart Swirl

I dusted off my Cricut to make this little matching purse, I'm sure this would brighten any little girls day if she received this with a little gift - I used the Forever Young Cartridge. The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the flower border is a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you have had a great week, we've had days & days of heavy rain, but today it's lovely and sunny, so this is a quick post, so I can go & enjoy some sunshine.

I made this adorable Watering Can with a couple of my Mini Magnolias. I spotted this tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers a while back and have been meaning to give it a go. I noticed Hanna my Magnolia Teamie made one and oh my goodness how amazing is Hanna's (& she is only 15 yrs old) of course mine is not as beautiful, but I had fun making it all the same.
